If you mean your home city then it isn't an issue. The easiest way to explain it is time is standing still right now and will remain that way until you return.
It's the only reason some of us are more complacent than we would normally be here. Our obligations back home will still be waiting right there for us when we are returned. That doesn't mean I like my present situation, but my home will still be there when I get back at least.
I think it should be something as a relief that there won't be a missing person's report that you can't explain away at least.
That doesn't mean you have to like this situation. A great deal of us don't, but there's some solace in the fact you can return to whatever you were doing in your world.
No it will be like you never even left. Only if you're brought back here will you remember. I haven't experienced this myself, but I've been told this is the case.
Yes. If they get bored or forgetful they will just discard you back to your home universe or if your story if already finished they will put you in the back of their mind.
