Father's Day and the upcoming Fourth Wall event at Asgard

This day is one for celebrating parentage, correct? If so, I have nothing to celebrate. My mother was a witch and my father a ruler whose list of crimes is long enough to fill a dozen books. The only reason I would ever recall either of them is as a reminder of why I fight, and also why I must claim the Grail for myself.

I imagine this brings us to the subject of whom I would like to see appear during the upcoming event. There are a few, perhaps. But the chance of them appearing is rather nil, so I will not cry if you are unable to find any of them.

That leaves only the issue of father appearing before me during this event. It is not something I wish to happen, as I do not want to speak at length once more of matters of my current life, why I seek the Grail, and other things like that. For it will only serve to leave a terrible taste in my mouth once he has gone and distract me from the task at hand.

[She's quiet for a long moment, contemplating what Mordred has said. When she finally does speak, there is no emotion in her voice, no anger, no hate, no happiness; just a simple calm acceptance.]

If that is what you truly wish, Mordred, then I shall stay away.

No, Mordred, nothing is amiss. You seem to be doing well and this is a wish that is within my ability to respect. [Since as far as she's concerned, she has no right to worry over Mordred for good or ill anymore. So she bottles it up and leaves it in the corner of her heart where she puts all her personal feelings aside.]

I trust you are not causing too much trouble for everyone in this Asgard place.

My father... being reasonable? Perhaps today is worthy of celebration after all!

[Mordred laughed. She had expected a sharp insistence from her father that she needed supervision in her new home, perhaps to reign in her own destructive tendency. But this? She could not help herself but to laugh that it was this, of all times, that they finally agreed upon something.]

Aside from a few who keep insisting upon insulting my age and calling me "girl", I've brought no troubles to any as I've dedicated myself to the military cause to repel the enemies of the city from ours lands. Though it is hardly as glorious as in ages past, it is something I may use to put my skills to use while I await my return to the Grail War.

[Oh, she wants to. She would like to oh so very badly, but she has to draw the line between being father, mother, or whatever she is to Mordred and being a King. Mordred is no longer under her jurisdiction and while a rebel she has no sway over him. Not in this space. And her mun has no intentions of sending Saber to a game soon or this conversation would go very differently.

Though she is vaguely amused at the 'girl' comment. She herself always did hate being called a little girl.

However, one thing does catch her interest.]

You seek the Grail as well?

That I do. Though I do not know if I will be able to claim it for myself as long as my master still has a wish of his own.

Those whom you seek - your Master, of course, but, the rest of these 'they' are...?

[Not fishing for attention at all, nope.]

Yes, my Master would be my first choice. Though a scoundrel he may be, I would appreciate the mana and what little respect that he pays to me.

As for the rest, I would not mind seeing those I knew in my prior life again - save for my mother and father, of course.

Though I hate the wretched organization to which we all belonged and will curse its very name every day for as long as I live, I still hold my fellow knights in high regard.

We were a talented lot presided over by a directionless fool. A sad story indeed.
