Then I have to deal with the idea that somewhere, just kind of lurking, there is an invisible moustache. That's not really better.

My bioship doesn't lurk! It hovers, rests, flies, and sometimes spins around in circles, but it doesn't lurk.

I think it makes a cute moustache.

[The smile graduates to a grin as her eyes close and she shows him a brief, condensed, and cohesive timeline of Martian history to give him an idea of where bioships were actually cultivated and conceived in relativity. All in convenient image-flash format!]

The great thing about telepathic links is the shared knowledge of our history!

It's a lot easier than carrying textbooks around, but that's fun, too!
