A possible B-plot
Look, I know you're sick right now so I'm just going to assume this is the drugs talking?
If you really want to do a spinoff where I become a lawyer, I guess I'm okay with that. It might be interesting to take on the challenge. But you'd better find Mike and Justin first, and make sure they're on board with the idea. Especially since one of them would end up being my boss. And working for Mike would be...um, different? [Laughs.]
Anyway, I just don't want you putting time and energy into developing a side story for me if no one else is going to play along. Especially when you should be sleeping and focusing on getting better.
Go to bed, and we'll discuss this in the morning. I have to be up in half an hour to take my kid to school, anyway.
