IT'S RAGNARÖK
The end of the world? The end of a new cycle. It shall slumber soon, yes... But first it shall feast on the flesh of the fallen. When all are devoured it shall sleep again.
It anticipates eagerly.
It anticipates eagerly.

It being...?

Yveltal quirks its head in a very birdlike manner, crawling toward the small two-legged creature on its feet and wings as if they were hands.]
It is Yveltal. It speaks of the prophesized end times. It is... somewhat disappointed in the apparent lack of world-ending chaos at this juncture. [It's hungry. Where are all the corpses?]
[1/2]
... Yveltal.
[His tone is half-acknowledgement, half-reverence. An unvoiced question. Not native to Unova and certainly not to Kanto or Johto... what manner of creature is this?
He realizes now that Yveltal is referring to itself as it. Strangely, it is its disappointment in the foretold end that encourages Ingo to speak again, now with markedly less hesitation:]

[Honest curiosity, no hint of accusation or judgement in his question (he clearly is in no place to be judging anyone, as insignificantly small and powerless as he was in comparison, but pride is a difficult thing to forsake).]

It lives for an eon, but when the end comes, It slumbers for a thousand years. It is tired, and It is hungry, and when It again goes to sleep It devours all.
[That somewhat cryptic answer can be translated as such: when its life comes to an end, it will absorb the life of everything around it and go dormant for a thousand years. It also likes to eat carrion, but that's more of a personal preference.]

At "It devours all," he briefly looks down, as if searching for something off to his side, before quickly refocusing on Yveltal.]
... and is it only at the last stop on the line that Yveltal will rest and feed?
[Carefully choosing his own words, not to imply that It is incapable of doing so outside of that time. Offending such a creature would not be wise.
He can make out as much from the words, cryptic though they may be, but there is no clue for him that the carrion is only a matter of preference and not necessity.]

It enjoys the taste of death; the flesh of the fallen. It indulges while it lives. In the end, however, It will devour everything. In a thousand years, It will awaken and the cycle will begin anew.

I see.
[But, this prompts him to wonder, he has no prior knowledge of this creature, but he certainly feels an immense aura of both power and death from both its presence and its words; it was clear he was dealing with something extremely rare and incredibly powerful, if its claims are to be believed... a Legendary, for certain.]
For a cycle to exist, the end must join the beginning. That is the very definition.
Might I ask if Yveltal possesses a counterpart? One, perhaps, drawn to life as It is to death?

There is the one called Xerneas, but they cannot meet. Xerneas which grants eternal life. They cannot exist together. Perhaps both would vanish in each others' presence... yes...
[Upon completion of its rambling, the avian levels its gaze with the human before it, very nearly touching him with its beak.]
Perhaps... maybe... It knows not. It has never seen it to know.

[Where was that door again? Edging in that direction now...]

[In other words, it 'going to sleep' is what will cause the end of days.]

[The near-brush prompts him to raise one gloved hand to shield himself. Rather ineffective, impulsive. No fear in the returned gaze, but apparent in his actions. He can't fully hide it, it seems.]
... it feels like speaking with death itself. [Might be an apology for his reaction.]
Whose company do you seek, if any?
