Ordinarily, I would think it only natural for you to choose me over that "hero killer" — but for you to have chosen me simply because you couldn't think of a username for him...
I'll not be anyone's second choice. Leave me be and play with him if that's what you want.

OH SO PEOPLE ACTUALLY PLAY THIS SERIES...
I take it that was not meant as a compliment.
Seems so~
Take it as you wish. Though a word of advice if you will have it. Asking or trying to force anything on your mun is a futile endeavor.

I have already negotiated with the military factions of Jebr! I am more than capable of negotiating with some — girl.
no subject
This girl likely has the power to make you fall in love with the first person they consider interesting. Or to even change your body and give you animal feature and mannerisms. Their kind have also shown quite the sadistic eagerness to see us broken and scarred.
[He's lucky he's already been through the latter in his own world so he's taking it like a professional really.]
no subject
...have you been forced through all of this?
no subject
Forced is a subjective choice of words. Sometimes I ended up going with the lifelike play willingly as if that was the truth and how things were from the start. The power of these...creatures is unquestionable.
no subject
— I expected greater strength of will from someone who inspired me, but I see that's not the case. I'll just have to be strong enough for us both!
I want a word with your mundane. You deserve more respect than that!
no subject
You're welcome to try. As soon as you manage to get through to your own mun.
Don't misunderstand. I have not given up. Whenever I am in control I still do what I will rather than what he wants. However I know all too well that is a rare gift on their part.
It's not always bad though. Sometimes I get a treat of playing a part in something a bit more peaceful.
no subject
My mundane had no particular plans to take me to a game. Strategizing does not appear to be her strong suit.

[He almost sounds wistful. He hasn't forgotten his revenge but letting it fester while he is not in a position to carry it out will only lead to a slow and painful decay. ]
There are places that don't require that kind of commitment. The mun calls them memes. Your mun may just decide to throw you into one to see how you react to it. They love loud reactions.
In my case the mun enjoys keeping me around because of my 'grey nature' as he put it. Being neither evil nor good. Not shy from getting my hands dirty if something needs to be done.
/2
Knights can be traitors, priests can be thieves, and criminals — can be heroes. [hopes he doesn't miss the significance of that remark, but she moves on swiftly enough] Even Lord Glenn was... evil, perhaps, in one sense of the word. But he ruled justly, and would have led the country to peace. A peace built on lies, perhaps, but peace all the same.
[hesitates, and adds]: ...it is for this reason that I am so... prideful, as you put it. I do not wish to rely on anyone but myself. If I don't — if I don't, I might mistake someone else's shade of grey for a brilliant white.
no subject
But on a lighter note, which... "meme" communities do you typically frequent?
1/2
Peace for those of noble blood perhaps. Secret experiments, raids on the frontier. All of this and more plagued the people I saw on my journey. Yet they still clung to that fake beacon of hope hiding the rot within the kingdom.
[Honestly they could spend hours debating the rule of the seven heroes.]
2/2
Oh? Well if you really must know it's the most popular one. Bakerstreet is the name. A peculiar choice I'll admit but I doubt even the creators of that place remember the origins of it all anymore.
no subject
Perhaps we might linger on politics a while longer, should we encounter each other there.
no subject
Perhaps. Unless the circumstances of our meeting prevent it. It's rather hard to have a conversation when giant killer lizards that are not dragons are trying to have you for dinner.
no subject
I'm sure we've both been through worse.
no subject
Well you have a point. I've heard of your recent encounter with the nobleman whose son you were supposed to marry.
[Mun keeps him updated]
no subject
M-My father is a complete imbecile! One cannot simply agree to marrying one's child to another on the basis of some long-forgotten friendship!
Bad enough that Arguido became some infant... beast... [seriously, what do you even call that thing. that was traumatizing to look at] — but he was a madman in life, as well. Even assuming he was some strapping young prince I would have never deigned to marry him.
no subject
A strapping young prince wouldn't last a day around you.
[Compliment or insult. She can pick.]
no subject
Wh-What do you mean by that?!
no subject
Well lets just say I doubt that hunting dangerous fugitives is something a classic prince would find, alluring.
[Though he can certainly respect way of life. Even if it put him in the danger when they first met.]
no subject
I wouldn't consider a man who can't appreciate his wife's strength a prince. [why are they even talking about princes again? she regrets using that word] Besides, the Rahnclave family has always been known for its fighters. He'd know what he was getting into the moment he asked for my hand.
no subject
And just how many proposals have you had?
[ How did they even get to this topic? Doesn't matter. He's enjoying himself quite a bit.]
no subject
[aside from the aforementioned, anyway]
D-Don't misunderstand! I'm sure it's because of the arrangement between Lord Zorden and my father! And — I'm sure being in the company of my knights makes some people suspect things — not that I care about such paltry rumors, of course —
[elsaria stop you're digging yourself into a deeper hole]
no subject
[He's just feeding the fire now because he can see she's flustered enough to not call his bluff.]
no subject
What about you, huh?! You and your — cult following! [mostly referring to ato on this one, since... she likes pepi's company, more or less]
no subject
If you say so.
[If she's expecting him to balk at the attention shifting to him, she's in for a disappointment as he smiles slyly.]
Cult following? Don't demean the rowdy bunch who don't know what's good for them, with such a phrasing. They may be foolish in their desire to follow me however they are still better than the mindless sheep who sing the praise of those seven. Or should I say the praise of the One now that Glen is the only one who escaped his final punishment.
Though I will admit I miss having Altea around. She was quite fiery at night~
[Of course he just has to throw that in to fluster Elsaria even more. Alto is more of a partner in battle. Someone who knew the desire for vengeance that was closest to his in intensity.]
no subject
I-I-I didn't need to know about that! [not that she was ever formally introduced to altea, but she does recall that all of his companions were female...] Besides, how is "rowdy bunch" any better than "cult following"?!
no subject
...I'm worried about my father.
no subject
no subject
Perhaps you should be by his side then.
no subject
[sighs at his explanation, though] ...you do have a sort of quiet charisma to you. People are inspired by that.
no subject
As expected of the daughter of elector Rahnclave. Wisdom beyond your years. Perhaps there may be hope for the kingdom once the blight of Glen is removed.
[Koinzel hasn't really tried to expend any effort thinking of things to do once his vengeance is achieved. After all an entire kingdom would want him dead for his crimes in their eyes. He accepted that fate long ago.]
Charisma. A word I am not fond of. It gets good people killed for ideals they shouldn't believe in.
no subject
[she passes over the flattery; basically everyone she meets compliments her somehow, even if only to be polite] Lord Ischüdien is still alive as well. But he seems to support Glenn's bid to the monarchy...
no subject
[A mistake he won't be making a second time. As for Zorden, madness is a dear companion to those who cannot let go of their loved ones in life.]
Why wouldn't he? After all he was there that day in the forest. He watched our reward for bleeding and putting our lives on the line for the emperor. You would do well to not expect much of him. He will join Glen in hell when this is over.
no subject
You said — you would submit yourself to my judgment. Suppose I demanded your head?
no subject
no subject
I wouldn't allow it to be done, even at the electors' request. [though she supposes he's entitled to his broken heart; it's strange, sometimes, remembering that she's dealing with a man almost as old as her father] The people deserve to know the truth.
no subject
My how the times change. I remember the time you hunted me down without question.
no subject
And we might have done it, too, if not for your accomplices. Please, don't be so hasty to dismiss them in the future. [though he already... has...]
no subject
Well I suppose we all had one huge misunderstanding then.
Dismissing them completely is impossible. Or did you miss the fact that they still searched for me even after my supposed demise. Sure I may move on my own at the moment back in our world but I'm sure they will catch up to me again.
[Honestly his words are so contradicting. Or maybe deep down he years for their company.]
no subject
[Robot hippy talk.]
