Finally finished the game!

What did I tell you? I told you that you were jumping the gun, Munnie. That's okay, though; I forgive you.

It's so hard to believe.... Everything that's happened....

I'm so happy that I was finally able to see Simon go free. It's also a relief to know that.... her death wasn't because of me after all. So many things have happened.

I'm glad that Apollo is back.

Man, there's so much to be thankful for. Thank you too, Munnie. I know how much you cried, but I'm just happy to know you care. I don't know if I would have made it without your help, too.

So thank you.

[This is definitely one of those places Bobby doesn't want to be right now, especially with the hectics of moving into a second game any day now, but his mun is unrelenting and so here he is. He was able to fool other people around here, but Cykes is special. Cykes can tell the difference between him and the real deal just by listening to his voice. Is there even still a point in putting up a big facade? ...Well, he doesn't like to be taken out of his comfort zone either way, so he'll just start off with his usual grin.]

That sure is a lot of things to be thankful for! I guess it just goes to show that with a bit of hard work and trust, justice will be served. [He'd question the irony of his words if the situation itself weren't already ironic enough as is.]

[....Unless the justice we're talking about is Apollo.

That's right Fool Bright, she knows. Yes, she did just use Simon's nick name for you. Don't even try.

Of course. With the truth, everything works out in the end. Although, you have no right in saying what you do is "justice".

[With the truth, everything works out? Not for him. The truth gave him an emotional breakdown, a sniper bullet and possibly death row. Of course, it's in a human's nature not to see what they don't want to see. Or maybe Athena just thinks that he got 'what was coming to him'. Thirst for revenge can be a nasty trait.]

[It always works out when you're not a spy who's willing to kill people for objects and turn people's lives around for the worst. Even with that being said, Athena didn't feel that even he deserved the sniper. But she is glad to see him punished.

That's just it, Phantom. It's human nature. Something that you BARELY possess.]

You're idea of "justice" includes killing people on a whim and punishing those who aren't guilty. Oh, but don't worry.

The Dark Age of Law.... We're fixing that now.

[The Phantom sees no reason to change his lack of 'human nature'. All it causes is bias, as Athena's proving with her own words. His shoulders slump and he ends up pouting- an old reflex that he has no intention of getting rid of either. If he didn't have Bobby Fulbright to fall back on, he wouldn't be anyone at all.]

You must think very little of me if you're convinced I'd bother to kill someone on a "whim", Miss Cykes. I may not look it, but I'm a professional, you know.

[Habits are hard to break. She's sure even the great Phantom has troubles breaking habits. It is a little odd that he really doesn't have any identity of his own to fall back on.]

Oh, I don't doubt that you're a "professional". If you can slip away without a trace for 7 years, that's more than obvious.

[To be fair, she's always kind of thought little of him. At one point, she thought he could be an ally, but he was definitely not the first person she'd go to for help, even before all of this.]

[Oh please. Slipping away without a trace was so easy, he'd consider it laughable if he had a proper sense of humor. The government's system of keeping track of people is flawed to the core and while anyone could be paid to look the other way, he never had to resort to that either.]

Let me ask you something. How many criminals do you think were put behind bars thanks to detective Bobby Fulbright in the past year? Murderers, rapists, even pickpockets. Go on, take a wild guess.

[Well, most people aren't able to change who they are and who they look like within a few minutes.]

But that doesn't matter! You were playing a role. Who says that the people you may have put behind bars was ever really out of genuine concern? The answer to that is simple. None of them. Because you have no emotions!

[More biases. Even someone specialized in psychology can let her emotions get the best of her, it seems. Just another bit of irony to add to the collection that's being amassed here.]

Concern or no concern, they'll be punished for their crimes. They won't create any more victims. This isn't about emotion, it's about action and consequence. So with that in mind, would you say justice was served?

[Well, that's fairly obvious throughout all of her cases. She can't help it! She's still just mad at him. So there's that too.]

That's not what I was talking about. I was more concerned for the victims. I can't agree. I won't. You can talk about justice all you want, but there is no honor or justice in what you do.

Hmm... Well, good luck to you, Miss Cykes. Remember never to lose sight of that blighted sense of justice. In a world like ours, it can get you pretty far.

[Still no emotions to be found in his voice, but that makes little difference. He doesn't care what becomes of Athena Cykes one way or the other. It's not like her death or success would impact him in any way. Not after what's happened.]

[For a moment he almost seems sincere, but she still refuses to let down her guard. The moment he called her sense of justice as "blighted", she knew she couldn't put much on it.]

Aw, you almost seem human when you talk like that. My "blighted sense of justice" is still far better and more effective than yours.

[And now he is laughing. Laughing in a way Bobby Fulbright would've laughed, because hell if he knows what his own laugh sounded like. He isn't amused in the technical sense, but he does find Athena's word laughable.]

If being human means having very little rational thoughts, I'll gladly be something else! A robot, maybe. Is that how you'd describe me?
