[For better or worse, Zeref is not the only one uncertain what to say. There is history even though they have not yet met, and there are Ultear's wishes that he plans to honor to best of his ability.

This is not the place for that kind of confrontation though.]

[For a second there is a flicker of worry on his face and he wants nothing more than to ask about Erza - is she alright? how does Zeref know her? - but he swallows those questions down. There is no telling in how far Zeref can be trusted to answer truthfully after all, and if anything Erza has always been more than capable of holding her own.]

Maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell.

If Jellal's own role in fighting Zeref ends up being to support Natsu, then he is at peace with that, for all that he would prefer to settle things himself.]

And yet, he's not ready. Neither physically, nor emotionally. We fought on Sirius Island... [ Kind of. Natsu didn't leave so much as a bruise on him, and his 'counterattack' was involuntary. On Exsilium, now that Natsu knows Zeref believes that the only way he can be 'stopped' is if he is killed, Natsu has actually been avoiding him. Instead, it was mostly Lucy (and occasionally Erza or Levy) who have been talking to him. ]

There's no other option. No prison can hold me, and even if one could be built, it would be only a matter of time before another Dark Guild attempted to 'awaken' me again.

He will continue to grow, and he is not alone. If there is one thing I've observed it's that even when apart, those of Fairy Tail are never just by themselves.

[That's why he has unquestionable faith in Natsu, in Erza, in their guild. That's why he will never hesitate to give them his support, no matter what.]
