Is there any particular reason why you are adding a long 'o' sound to the end of my name when pronouncing it? Aye, my name is a simple one but I am fond of it as it is. There is no need to embellish it in any way.

While we are on the topic of names, I regret to inform you that no one, least of all Master Baggins whom I know little of, will like as their 'username': sodonewithyourshit or indeed, any variation of it.

In fact, seeing my own, one might question your taste altogether.

She once considered that other name for me, only to decide on this current one for me due to some sort of joke she heard elsewhere.

How she plays you is more important than what she names you. You can tell mine was somewhat uncreative with my name.

[That's a quality Thranduil likes in Bard, somehow. The Elvenking prefers to surround himself with people who balance him, and he never had the luxury of being the modest sort of king. He would have preferred it, once, as a quiet and stoic youth. But when he became king, it was a time of war, and he had to be powerful and imperturbable. Though his people fell in droves, the survivors had to believe they could win a war with him in command. And they did.]

And perhaps you do not realize how much you do pretend--not to be afraid when you are so you won't frighten the children, or not to be tired from work so you might play with them. But that in itself speaks of your integrity, for it speaks of your priorities.

Is that not something all parents do for their children? It is one thing to do to bring comfort and safety for one's kin and friends and another to do it to feed one's own pride and to lord it over others.
