An elf is no match for any son of Durin, much less a prince second in line for the throne. I was worried that perhaps one day my dear child would decide to leave the bearing of grandsons to Fili and go off to gallivant with some dwarf lad or worse a woman from Harlond or Mithlond. Even when others suggested that Fili and Kili might themselves be too close, I never expected....It was a mistake allowing him to go on that quest, he's far too young, far too irresponsible.
[ And then she turns her attention to her mun. ]
Don't you dare suggest that Kili and that elf are cute. I would have your head.
