Of Wizards and Robots
So, you made the icons for this account from the comics, and you get to complain I don't smile much?
Uh. Have you seen my life?
Not that you make it any better. I mean, I'm in a game with Optimus Prime and I can't get near him.
...
No, I won't sent him love letters with Mouse.
Fan letters are another matter.

[There's a pause and then she asks.]
Is your magic really going to short-out a giant robot?

I'm a geek, if you don't mind. The cool kids say that's, you know, cooler.
[Even if Harry himself isn't sure of what the difference is.]
And my mun doesn't only seem to think so, but it was used as a plot point to stop Starscream's plan for total domination. Of which I'm both proud and a little frustrated at the same time.

[Either way you'd probably get shoved in a locker if you weren't so freaking tall and gangly. God Harry why do you have to be a giant.]
Of course it was a plot point. You could always try shouting at him from a few blocks over about your undying love for the Autobots. It's like how you would stay a safe distance away from my computers in my office before I let you in.
no subject
I'm not ashamed of being an Autobot fan. Not that's it's bad to like Decepticons, but at the end of the day, yes, let's do the right thing.
[It makes him feel validated.]
And I haven't blown any of your computers lately. That I know of.
Those are paid by the city anyway, don't they?

[Hello, consulting wizard. Meet a young New Yorker wizard.]
You can't? Why not? Are you in a game with strict fourth wall rules?

But we were talking about Transformers. Do you have a favorite? Did you have any of the toys when you were a kid? I should get around and buy one, but I can't decide which one or which continuity. My back account can't afford to get them all, even if I wanted to.
[Or to babble. Babble is good.]
Yay! Lash!
You'd think meditation instructors would be all about patience, but it's amazing how fast they give up on you when you fall asleep every session.

[Hi, there!]
Not really, no. The game's fourth-walling rules allow for each player to decide if they want to play it or not. Optimus' mun is perfectly fine with breaking his. The problem here is my magic. My aura breaks technologically-advanced stuff if I'm not paying attention.
[And it's hard to pay attention when you're a fanboy, right, Dresden?]
<3
Or you could take the easy way out and talk to him from inside a circle but that would be rather a chore, wouldn't it?
no subject
[Let's talk about that update to Ghost Story, Harry.]
[Also, he hopes Lash doesn't have some ancient trick up her sleeve to offer.
How many Fallen have talked to Transformers in old times, anyway?]
no subject
[Not that she gets to see these books, oh no.]
What, seriously?!
no subject
So, can't really help you with that list either.

I'm sorry for the delay. Holidays and RL happened :c
What's your thing, then? My Little Pony? Wait, no. My money is on She-Ra.

And yup. I don't get to have an iPod, but who needs those. Long plays are better.

Nah, I'm on a giant turtle. It's .....interesting.
no subject
Giant turtle? Like in Discworld or the Neverending Story?
no subject
I still have all my zap, though it did go away for a little while. That was seriously annoying.
no subject
[Given what you said up there, that's a bit hypocritical of you, don't you think so, Dresden?]
What do you do on a turtle anyway?

Murph, you're not fun.

That's fine :)
But why?! Wizardry shouldn't be creating entropy without a spell guiding it! And why technology in particular?
no subject
[Damn right, Harry.]
[He shrugs.]
Wizards in my universe would be too powerful otherwise. But it's ok. We get used to it. Who needs an iPod when you have an old, trusty LP player.
no subject
[Hey! Keep insulting my art, and I'll turn you into an iPod, Miss Dairine Regan Callahan.]
Somehow I think Darryl would disagree with you there. You couldn't separate him from his WizPod if you tried. And I certainly wouldn't go anywhere without Spot if I had the choice.
