Juji! [Judging by the joyous guitar twanging, Billy's as glad to see the foul-tempered Deadman as he is to hear he might get a game.] No, see, my mun says that folks like me get their bodies back in that city. I'd be alive again!

[There's just a huff in response. Sure, Juji might be glad to have him around too, but when has he ever shown that?]

What, really...? Huh. Sounds too good to be true. Then again, with the things I've heard about these places, guess it's not that strange...

[His face says the idea doesn't settle right with him, though.]

Yeah, my mun's seen some pretty weird stuff around here since I joined on, but there's not really a lot for a ghost to do, y'know? [There's that laugh of brushing-it-off-but-not-really.]

[And make no mistakes, Juji, he'd at the very least throw a friendly arm over your shoulders if he could.]

[He knows that laugh pretty well by now, but he's also not the type to comment.]

Not hard to figure. Still... [A pause where he, for once, considers whether or not to bring the mood down. Juji's never bothered censoring himself before, but RB's more excited than he's ever been.

An awkward shifting of his weight from one foot to the other, and a small scowl - ]

[Look of surprise shifts to a grin.]

Juji! You're worried about me!

[And Juji's relaxing again. Or, at least, as much as he ever does.]

Good. ... pretty weird concept, though. An emphasis on physical contact? Who thinks up that kind of stuff?

I hear tell of places that want somethin' a little more personal than a hug every now and again. Kinda puts it in perspective, don'tcha think?

[Guitar strings buzz faintly with his shift in mood as the grin fades again to a more serious look.]

Then there's that… tower place my mun was at for a little while. That place is awful.

[The face he pulls at that. Considering how bad he is with regular contact...]

... yeah, I think I've heard of that place,. Basically a big rat maze of horror, right? [Someone's a little more tense than usual.] Guess there'll always be those kinds of bastards around...

I was on the sidelines for the big bear-guy's stay there and that was all I needed. It's like the whole place was built just to make people suffer.

[He shudders faintly, strings making soft, off-key sounds. He can't stand the jangling sensation the memories give him.]

Hn... People like that need a taste of their own medicine. See if they get their kicks off prodding for reactions then.

[The animosity in his voice is more than clear. Then again, considering his past, he thinks he's more than justified to it.]

Near as I can tell, people in the tower've tried before. Didn't work out for 'em.

Ha. 'Course it's that way. Figures...

[A moment of silence, then a roll of his shoulders as he tries to shake his bad mood off.]

Not like it's our problem. Unless that place winds up taking a sudden turn.

Then what're we gonna do? Storm the place and take it down?

Yeah, yeah... So, these plans your mun's got for you, they're set in stone?

That's the thing. I dunno for sure. I'm pretty sure we're at least gonna try but… well… my mun's a bit on the gunshy side, if y'know what I mean. Takes a while to work up the nerve for this sorta thing.

I think that's just the way they are in general. Or at least mine's in the same boat. [A snort.] It's ridiculous.

[Plus the muns don't have the advantage of being near-invincible dead guys.]

[RB has been sitting around awhile hoping something would come up. But he doesn't mind, mostly. At least there's been company.]

I still can't take you anywhere, can I? [He shrugs and the guitar gives a melancholy bit of a hum.] Well… I've waited longer than this before. I don't mind hangin' on a little while more. The mun's workin' pretty hard on this application thing to get me in.

Technically, you don't take me anywhere. [He reaches out, taps on the body of the guitar with his knuckles to demonstrate the point.] Tch... you're too patient. But as long as they're actually working on it, I guess.

If there's one thing I've got to spare, it's time on my hands.

[A huff, and a shake of his head.]

So do I... doesn't make it any less irritating to be stuck waiting around. I'll never get how you can stand it.
