But if Maxwell could see the future, he might never have created the Schism, and he could have averted the entire catastrophe before it happened.

...On the other hand, it's likely that it's humans' persistence in the face of adversity that gave birth to spyrite technology in the end, so maybe it worked out for the better. It's hard to say.

Don't know about that. People didn't seem like they wanted to listen. I think omniscience wouldn't have helped.

I'd say it worked out. But I'd have taken it sooner.
