[ Yeah you're getting an equally sceptical look right back, young man, because Filly has a pretty bad track record when it comes to socializing with guys her own age. ]

[Yeah, well, wait till she tells him that he's introduced himself as an axe murdering stalker. Not that the truth is all that likely to gain parental approval, either. No job, no permanent address and a demon roommate sharing his body, very impressive.]

Trent. I guess you could say I'm a friend of your daughter's. She never mentioned you, though.

She hasn't mentioned you either, so I guess we're even.

[ Actually what he guesses is that it means that Filly likes this young man, and that there are reasons why she probably shouldn't. It's how things tend to go with little miss Bray, though very few things remain hidden i the long run. ]

Nice to meet you, too, Ben. I wouldn't worry that she hasn't mentioned me. We've... met only recently. I would be surprised if she'd mentioned me. But if she's gotten in trouble for fiddling with her phone all the time, that's my fault.
