[One hand up - considering. Then.] It's not dirty is it?

[Sometimes being stuck out in the wilderness. It makes him slow.]

[She narrows her eyes, playfully scrutinizing him.]

[alostranger]

[One hand reaches out for hers] I hope it's very dirty. [his own smile is hesitant, a little shy.] I'd hate to be making a joke out of myself for no reason.

[She grin impishly as she curls her hand into his.]

[He hesitates, pulling her close. every movement is tentative she smells fantastic.

[She steps easily into him, her fingers play absently with a button on his shirt.]

[His only response is a very protective noise as he slides his hands over her shoulder.]

...Rescuing guys from the horrors of the woods happens every day huh?

[She laughs, turning up a bright smile at him.]

Just on mondays.

[alostranger]

...So you'll let me make it up to you. [He slides his hand back into hers.] And we can...overlook....the possibility that I might be some sort of maneating monster?

[Might be? Come on man.]

[She gives his hand a squeeze before excusing herself from his arms, answering lightly.]

We'll deal with that when it comes up.

[alostranger]

[He holds her against him. Privately resolving not to let it get that far.]

This is stupid, but you never told me what you did for a living.

[She didn't know how she felt about it yet, hadn't wanted to think about it and her eyes flash with a soft displeasure at his not letting her move away. She doesn't mind being against him terribly and she leans into him slightly.]

I write. Not a very exciting job, but I'm happy with it.

[alostranger]

[He pulls back then, raising his eyebrows at her.] ...Let's have dinner.

Not like - how we have been but I ought to thank you instead of...dragging you into business that hasn't happened yet.

[She studies his face for a second and a soft smile creeps across her lips.]

[He ducks his head, almost shy.] ...Sirloin okay?

Then it's a date.

[he smiles. Then looks chagrined] My writer has plans for us. Ideas to propose to yours.

[She lifts her eyebrows in a resigned way.]

My writer is ready for ideas. Claims that they'd like to get to know me better.

[alostranger]

[He shifts his weight] I don't know how happy they'd be. She keeps muttering Beauty and the Beast and making unusual noises Reg. I'm not sure if that's even a thing.

[Reg She takes a moment before deciding she liked the name and chuckled softly.]

Wasn't that the idea from the start?

[alostranger]

...The question is how does it end.

...Do you find some sort of magical cure? Do I get fixed and make my peace so that I can protect you and other people? Do I die and get released? [that's a laugh] Do you come with me?

[badcampingtrip]

The end will come together once we get there, won't it? It would be like reading the last chapter of the book. Yeah you get answers but you miss the stuff in the middle, the whys and hows that develop over the story.

Plus, isn't it part of the human complex to worry about the end?
