Yes, I mean that -- happy birthday! I know all the excitement happened yesterday, but the actual day should be acknowledged.

I'm a little surprised that you want to celebrate by possibly getting me some form of paid account, though. Do you really need 100 icons? Could you even GET 100 icons? (Well, for me -- butterflyboy has told me how insane you went making icons for him.) You don't even care about the other things. I'm happy enough with my fifteen. Goodness, I'm happy enough that you didn't try to throw me into any horrible memes today. I'm not going to stop you if you're really intent on it, but -- well, I don't want you to spend money that you might need.

. . . "Want to make me feel like I'm loved?" That's -- you do that already. Maybe you do it a little oddly sometimes, but -- you do. I'm fine, really.

On another note, was it really necessary to squee about "sharing a birthday with Dr. Insano?" You really are strange sometimes.

Both my mun and I thank you. We had a good one, all things considered. My mun went out with her family the day before, so the actual day was quiet. But she got some nice presents, and chocolate cake.

I'm very sorry I've yet to get back to our latest game- the one in baker street? Myself and my mundane have had some very busy days over here; but I promise to return to it shortly.

(laugh) Yes -- she knows what a sweet tooth I have, and wouldn't deprive me. And there's still some leftovers tonight. . . We've been doing all right. Had a nice, quiet Christmas. I've never been one for big parties, and I'm glad my mun's the same. How have you and your mun been?

Ah, yes. (Slightly awkward here) It's all right -- the holidays are pretty busy for most people, I imagine. Whenever you can.

I see. Well I'm glad she thought about that. [ Nod. ] Our Christmas was very peaceful too - well, perhaps hers more than mine. I was... Caught by surprise. Both with a present in the city she plays me at and with one she made for me.

[ She smiles slightly nonetheless. ] She said tomorrow. I hope it's not too bad; I'm sorry our muns are putting you through the mind control.

She does try to think about what I like. Sometimes. (He smiles.) Oh, that's nice. My mun got me a present too, though -- w-well, it's a big macabre.

(He nods a little, then sighs.) Tomorrow should be fine. And it's -- it's all right. I'd rather you be the one c-controlling my actions than -- him. (A shudder goes down his back at the very thought.)

It is? [ She tilts her head slightly. ] Is it the paid account, or...?

Tomorrow it is, then. [ Then, after a short silence: ] I wouldn't let him. You know that, I hope? [ At least not as long as she can do something about it. ]

No, it was -- well. . . (A few moments of concentration, and he manages to summon it out of the aether. It's a scythe, of all things -- one with a pitch-black handle, and a blade that glows faintly green. He holds it upright with one hand, fiddling with his tie a bit with the other.) She likes to think about how I might fare in a Wonderland like yours, and -- well, this a weapon she came up with recently -- well, she and someone on FanFiction.net.

(He nods.) I do. The -- you I know -- didn't have much of a choice in the matter when he -- well. She was in Wonderland. But she brought me out of it. (And he trusts this Alice would do the same.)

[ She stares in awe for a moment, admiring it from a distance although not without suppressing the urge to reach out to touch it. ] It's... Fascinating. [ In some macabre way. ] What an interesting gift! I think it suits you rather well for the setting, Victor.

And.. I understand. [ A nod. ] She helped and so would I - will but I'd hope it doesn't come down to anything of the sort.
I do enjoy listening to you playing the piano, however.

(Victor grins a little.) Isn't it? She's also come up with an equivalent for the Vorpal Blade -- though that one is more a joke about the climax of my m-movie. (Blushing a little, he summons -- a large barbeque fork with curly vine patterns.) You see, I had to fight Lord Barkis in the church to keep him from doing something horrible, and Mrs. Plum -- well, she meant to pull out a knife. . .

(A weak smile.) I appreciate it. And I do enjoy playing the piano. . .just more when I have the ability to stop when I want to.

Oh! [ She clasps her hands together in genuine surprise. ] That reminds me that my mundane allowed me to watch your story unfold - with her, a few days ago. I only knew what little she told me. Now I hope I won't forget. [ A pause, and she smile. Speaking to you puts her in a good mood, Victor. ] It still suits you. As father said, a weapon's intended function is almost beside the point. So as long as you can wield it for your desired purpose it will work.

Mhmm. I suppose you're right. I apologize for that- I hope it's not too bad.

Did she? Well, I, ah, h-hope you enjoyed it. . . (He smiles back. He likes talking with her too.) I suppose it does -- it feels right. And it it is good for stabbing -- and blocking. And slashing coats. (He smirks a little, remembering the fight between him and Barkis.) I think I managed three hits on him before he managed to surprise me.

It's all right -- it's not really your fault. And it could be a lot worse, yes.
