Previously on tumblr, still getting used to this (AU, Canon is Corpse Bride & A:MR)
Dear Mun,
So -- this is Dreamwidth.
*looks around*
It's all right, I suppose. It is nice to have more than one facial expression. Though I wish you wouldn't obsess so much over my icons. It gets worrying. I'm just glad you put up those posts in my journal to properly explain my history.
Though. . .what do you plan to do with me here? Do you really think anyone's going to want to say hello? It may be q-quiet back on tumblr, but -- at least there's someone whom I know. Who sometimes wants to play with me. Here, everyone's a stranger. And I have to say, I don't hold out much hope of finding an Alice. At least, one who's interested in me.
Still, I know you'll do as you like and I can't stop you. Just -- please. Think hard before you throw me into any of those "memes." I know you.
Yours (perhaps a bit reluctantly),
Victor

Yay :D

So, Victor is it?
Re: <3
Y-yes. Victor Van Dort. I don't know if you're at all f-familiar with Van Dort Fish. . . I live at H-Houndsditch as well.

[ She slides her hands in her pockets, boots fidgeting with the floorboards. ]
I see. Why on earth would anyone put you there? You sound so polite.
no subject
*He shudders.* That's when they h-heard about Dr. B-Bumby.
no subject
[ What with her mun's large mind-- ]
I believe you. I've seen her, here in her mind. She's gone now. But I believe you.
...I'm sorry though, to hear that. I can see why now, though. Why we'd be friends.

*nods a little* You were -- are? -- the o-only good thing about that place. And the way you k-keep going, even after everything life's thrown at you. . . You're r-really the bravest person I know.

[ She looks a little warded off by his small confession. Nervous, almost. He knew everything, and didn't think she was...well, too crazy, or he'd have left her alone already. What a kind man. ]
I see, then I must've...told you everything. Thank you, that's...
[ She smoothes out the wrinkles in her apron, fighting off that flustered feeling. ]
That's very kind of you. No one's really ever....sincerely told me that before.

*He nods, fidgeting with his tie.* You told me m-my first night there. Said it was b-better I hear about Rutledge from you than from the children. . . *He shakes his head, mumbling to himself:* I still can't believe they put children in asylums. . .
More people should. *He smiles weakly.* Of c-course, I may be biased. . .
no subject
Biased, maybe. That or just one of a few decent people in the world.
It's comforting to know I have friends in places I'd least expect it.
no subject
The same here. I thought I would h-hate it at Houndsditch. . .well, I did, but it was n-nice to have someone to hate it with. If -- that m-makes any sense. *awkward laugh*

[ There's a bit of ease coming to her shoulders. Someone knew and it wasn't only her. ]
You'll find it's much easier here. At least with a mun. Hopefully they'll keep you out if trouble as long as possible. The only thing to fear here is the unknown.
no subject
*slightly suspicious* Oh, I don't know if she's necessarily interested in keeping me out of trouble. . . She's the one responsible for this whole "crossover AU." Not that I'm n-not thankful to have met you, it's just. . . *He sighs and shakes his head.* But she has no plans to do anything truly horrible to me, I don't think. Just whatever strikes her fancy in memes at the moment.
no subject
[ His fumbling makes her quirk up a side of her mouth in amusement. ]
Well. If you ever need anything, I suppose. It may be an AU but you're still a friend. Here it's like Wonderland, I can defend myself and others. It's nice. Like a dream almost.
no subject
*That, however, gets another smile.* Thank you. And -- if there's anything I can do for you. . . *bit of shy fiddling with his fingers* I'm glad you get that opportunity. Though, really, I think you're j-just as brave in London.
no subject
I think she'll read it, sometime. Soon, I hope. I'm curious what happens to us. And maybe we'll find you again in the memes. They aren't exactly exempt from card guards or even Jabberwocks now and again.
no subject
Er -- my story, you mean? I've got a post in my journal explaining things -- including links to the two stories my mun's got up. (It's the first one in there -- she's reluctant to link because then she can't keep the spoiler cuts.) She's got the third written, she's just fighting with where the chapter breaks should go.
And that would be nic-- Did you say J-Jabberwocks? *Oh cripes that's not good.*
no subject
The details are always nice.
I'd like to hope two against one would be better than just one, but...there's worse things than Jabberwocks. Vampires, werewolves, uncontrollable sickness, haunted hotels. There's also a lot of nice things she hasn't put me in yet, like memes about outings, and snow, and staying up past bedtime. For every few good, there's a bad.
no subject
I think I can sum it up as I go through my canon, then end up in yours. It's not always easy, especially in the third story -- t-that's the one that happens during "Madness Returns" -- but -- *another smile* it's worth it.
*nods a little, frowning* I'll have to k-keep an eye out, then. Sometimes she likes doing nice things, but I wouldn't put it past her to do something horrible if it intrigued her enough.
