And away we go! Round two, is it? Hopefully to be a much more successful and profitable run. Don't give me that look, profit comes in many shapes and sizes as we both well know. I'll miss the body, that part was fun. Sleep, now there's a thing you can grow attached to.

Doesn't bother me, anyway. As long as Ken is with me, there's no reason to be a sourpuss about it, now is there? Just don't leave me alone with any doppelgängers, or I'll have to rescind all promises of good behaviour. Only disappointment of mine is that I won't have one of those dæmons for my own... wonder what she'd have been like? Or maybe he? ... no? Already been done? I don't really have expectations of a ghost! I mean, why would I? I haven't met many, and only a few almost ghosts. I think. Though I've met vampires and seen zombies and then there're the Heartless and you know there were also ponies... What killed you?

World War Two, then? Oh yeah, magic ponies. Some even had horns, and others had wings!

Got it in one. Rest of my unit made it out that day, though, which is more than I could've asked for.

We had to go on a mission and everything to return this heart gem to a castle in the middle of a maze. It was really fun, thinking back.

[ She looks thoughtful. ]

I made some really great memories. But anyway, I'm sure your daemon was great!

It's only a shame I never got to meet her.

To turn back to normal, actually! We were all supposed to bond, but who knows how well that really went.

[ She grins. ]

Oh, don't tell me you were a pony. That sounds dreadful.

I had wings and everything! Not to mention a whole different sort of wheelchair.

How do you mean? What, like a chariot?

Kind of like that! There were these holders for my hind hooves, and this whole belly support that relied on back straps. The wheels were pretty big, but the turn radius wasn't as bad as I expected! It kind of bounced along with me. It was pretty fun!

Bet it got in the way of the wings, though.

I could only fly when I got the harness off, true!

Did it help with that maze you had to get through? [ Because. You know. Cheating. It's a thing Liam does well. ]

For seeing further ahead, yep! Not for getting there much faster. Someone would still have to bring my wheels along, so that wasn't all that much faster.

Still would've been better than figuring it out the old fashioned way!

Oh, plenty tried! From what I heard from Miles and Eva, the walls totally changed on them as they moved. I ran into that trouble too, but it all worked out fine. Sabriel was able to talk the the Nightmare and things got worked out in the end. And viola!

All human, or whatever we normally are, once more!

This sort of thing happen often in that Observatory of yours?

All sorts of crazy things, sure! Not so much with the ponies.
