[A pause, and a definite frown.]

Why won't you tell me what happened? Lee would've told me. We're partners.

He's gonna be worried about me...

Clem? [Lee visibly relaxes for a moment.] I'm right here, Clem. Are you okay?

never too late! have you played through ep 3? I'll be vague just in case you haven't

[walkietalkie]

Lee! [All of the relief. Maybe even a smile.] I'm okay, I guess. But the lady who's writing about me won't tell me what happened while I was sleeping.

It sounds kinda important.

I played it through, so no worries!

[lifesentence]

[If there was any semblance that Lee might smile since he found Clementine in this place, it's gone now.]

You mean on the train on the way to Savannah. [Pause.] Yeah. It is kinda important.

[walkietalkie]

We're still gonna look for my parents, right?

[lifesentence]

[There's a bit of a reluctance in Lee's answer before he speaks. He doesn't know what to honestly think of what happened while she was asleep -- he didn't much time to dwell on it before showing up in this place.]

Of course, Clem. It's part of the plan and we've gotta stick to it.

[walkietalkie]

And then we find a boat? [She's just making sure she's clear on the rest of the plan, too. She wants to be partners, not the tag-along kid.]

[lifesentence]

And then we find a boat. [He repeats her for reassurance. They are partners after all.] Sound good to you?

[walkietalkie]

Mhm! [A nod!

....Oh, but hold on.] ...Lee? What about this place? I don't know how to get back to the train from here...

[lifesentence]

My, uh... "mun" said it was a multiverse. [Lee isn't sure what that means, but it sounds like it was right.] Best way of putting is that we're nowhere near the train anymore.

Bright side is there's no Walkers around here. [For now.]

[walkietalkie]

None anywhere?

[lifesentence]

I've seen a lot of people walking around, and none of 'em are Walkers.

[walkietalkie]

Then maybe we should bring everyone here instead!

...After we look for my parents, I mean.

[lifesentence]

You know, that's not too bad of an idea. For all we know, your parents could be somewhere around here too. Wouldn't that be great?

[Certainly would be easier than dealing with... that entire ordeal.]

[walkietalkie]

Really? But this place is so big... How are they ever gonna find us?

[lifesentence]

We'll just have to find them first, won't we?

[He says it like it's no big deal, but he can't help but feel more optimistic in a place where he doesn't have to worry about a Walker hiding around any corner nearby.]

Savannah wasn't going to be any walk in the park either.

[walkietalkie]

We will! [She likes your plans, Lee. She likes them lots.]

[lifesentence]

[It's at this point that Lee decides to hold on asking about Clementine's walkie-talkie. This conversation was going far too well. A nice aside from the daily horrors they have to overcome, especially since they left the motel.]

Your, uh... "mun" been treating you alright? [Even though he can't get used to mun as a word. Or title. Whatever.]

[walkietalkie]

I guess so. I don't have any chalk or anything, but she isn't trying to eat me.

[lifesentence]

No chalk? You telling me you don't have your pack with you?

[walkietalkie]

It's around here somewhere, I think. I promise I'll find it before we have to leave.

[lifesentence]

I'd hope so. Seemed like you had some pretty important things packed away inside of it.

[Besides chalk.]

How's about we both look for it?

[walkietalkie]

Okay, we'll find it together.

[lifesentence]

Would you look at that. The objective list here is almost as big as the old one.

[Lee offers her a smile. A genuine one.] That's a sign of a good partnership.
