Homeless, Considering, and so chipper about it.
I think I could get comfy in here. I mean, it's so busy and there are so many exciting people, and, well, yes, I'd rather find someplace to roam a little, but... whenever we get to that, right?
[Right. Big hopeful eyes go here, hoping to stun one into putting her somewhere as soon as possible, without resorting to underhanded methods like sneaking out or lying or letting dashing thieves into the tower to sweep her off...]
After all, that -- A-T-P thing is coming up tonight, right? I should have someplace outside the tower to go in no time! It won't be the lanterns, but-- it'll still be an adventure!

That must be-- uh. Very-- inconvenient. [He seems very Handsome Prince-ish, maybe that's what he was doing!] Do-- you think you'll get back in time to save it?

No. My role on my home world is quite over now. The locals have issues with the idea of returning someone to the moment of their death.
I've mostly been speaking of things I've heard. Not of myself.

[He's dead! So he's a tragic heroic prince. That gets a little bit of a lower-lip wibble and a very careful, awkward pat.]
I'm sorry.

[He doesn't quite have the heart to shatter her illusions just yet. He's an AU that feels quite a bit of guilt about his actions even though he believes they were necessary.]
I've accomplished what I set out to do and have been given a second chance here.
[Never mind that he nearly destroyed the planet just to take out Shinra. He'd do it all again if he felt the need.]

I suppose. I'm still adjusting. It's a lot quieter here than my home world. Though that could just be the island. The rest of Daear could be in turmoil for all anyone knows.

...You're still eager to have something of an adventure despite hearing about some of the unpleasant possibilities, aren't you?
[It's still a question even though he's pretty sure of the answer.]
Why is that?

[He's a little surprised that she's not pale as a ghost.]
Those floating lights have inspired you to take that first step then?

Oh yes. I think-- I think maybe it's fate. I mean they show only on my birthday, and they're not stars-- I've charted stars, they're constant--

A closer look may be beneficial. Though it doesn't sound like a journey someone with your lack of experience should take alone.
[To attempt optimism or not to attempt optimism? Eh, he'll attempt it.]
Perhaps if it truly is fate circumstances will give you the guide you'll need.

[Avoiding the subject of her mother's possible refusal.]
Even if a game has similar floating lights they would not likely hold the same meaning.

[There isn't much that wouldn't be more interesting than just waiting around.]

Thank you, sir!

[She is far too adorable. He expects her to end up with at least one protector in whatever game she goes to.]
I think it may be about time for me to say farewell for now.
