Maybe this was a mistake.

Kid I- I get it, you like this game. You like this game a lot; you like the people, you like the premise- this game is your place, I guess. But I don't know- it sort of feels like it's not for me. I'm used to being alone, but you're not.

I'll wait it out for you but. Maybe you do need more cast mates.

Make some friends and we'll see how this plays out, alright?

Actually, I did pretty well for myself... What I may lack in memory, my girls don't. Thankfully, a couple of offshore emergency accounts exist. I'm never going to live like Cobblepot, and taking up large amounts of money flags the police... So now it's a retirement fund.

But so far I manage with honest work and celebrity. It's not bad, you know?

[ Some part of him boils with irritation. He can't remember the schemes, really. But he's got plenty of news clippings and internet articles that tell him what sort of man he was. ]

[ He doesn't regret it, but... he doesn't like being a joke, either. ]

Guess I had a few successes that got us some good hauls.

These days I get paychecks.

Yeah, especially when you have a credit rating of 'ex-con'. Buying cars and houses with cash? Not the funnest thing ever.

Still, you get a couple of nice payouts, learn to invest-- you'll make it. The nice things about buying things with cash is there's no debt for anybody to exploit hanging over your head.
