On Mun seeing the Lone Ranger
No mun I am not embarrassed. No one was born being an expert crime fighter. My father once told me that a books beginning is not nearly as important as it's ending. If anything, I'm proud of the man my great-uncle became by the end of the film. He is and always will be one of the primary reasons I wear my own mask.
Besides, my first outing as the Hornet was... less impressive than your comic books would have you believe.

And you've definitely made my mun happy to see you, she has quite a few of your exploits on cassette tape.

My mun is an admirer of your work as well. Though he finds our meeting quite funny. According to him, both of us have modern stories written by a Mr. Waid, who he also admires.

Really? I didn't know that. That's pretty ironic, though I suppose the vigilante angle is the same with both of us. My mun usually writes me from the one episode of the Incredible Hulk television series, it's a little less dark than the more modern version.
I hear you have a very nice car to get around in, I would have to admit I'm a little envious of that.

[Extends hand.]
My mun hasn't seen that one, but he has heard of it spoken in a... less than positive light.
[He shrugs.]
It happens.
I don't blame you. The Black Beauty is an enviable car, if I do say so myself. No offense though, Matt, but my Mun saw a different version of you try to drive in a movie once. I... think you might be better off.

Well, granted, it didn't have the budget of the movie that came later...but considering I could look like Mr. Affleck, I consider myself lucky.
[Mun saw that movie and yes, it was no radio show, but Kato was superb. As were the car and toys. And the mythbuster episode dedicated to it. :)]

I suspect less-than-stellar debuts run in the family.

Don't forget more-than-stellar finishes, Paul. Don't forget, it's the end of the Hornet that you have to watch out for.

If the mun's not lying, then I'm halfway there. Not that I think anything I do could ever match up to yours.
[It's a sensitive topic, how you passed away in his universe. But rest assured; it was heroic and truly worthy of the Green Hornet.]
