I won't even ask why you would think sending me to a place where I would be without my speed would be a good idea because I'm sure the answer would be painfully stupid.

But why send me there when there's not one but three of those damn Flashes around? I no longer have any interest in destroying them and you're even more of a fool than I thought if you believe I'm going to 'play nice' with Wally, Bart, and Barry Allen. Are you just hoping they'll annoy me into insanity? I have better things to do than deal with whatever ridiculous whims you have so there's no need to try sending me anywhere.

I see...[Thad does not know how to process this. Someone who's apparently Bart but not Bart. Someone that doesn't know him or seem to know the Thawne family name. It's a lot to considering.]...let's get to that food...

Yep, not sure how that all worked but Lex managed to come back from the grave so...

[The mention of the food brought on a grin and Bart nodded in agreement as he picked up the pace.]

Should reach the place in a few seconds, may wanna change though.

He should have stayed in the grave.

Hey no worries bud, I always keep a spare set of clothes in my back pack.

[Bart slowed for a moment at the edge of town and quickly dug out a red hoodie and a part of yellow cargo pants.]

Here you go, should be a decent fit.

[Thad nods and takes the clothes. Rather than taking off his uniform, he just puts them on over and removes his gloves. Once his gloves are in his pocket, he pulls his mask and goggles off and lets them hang back to be hidden in the hood.]

They fit. [He pauses for a long moment, almost not sure if he should say anything else.] Thanks.

[The kid studied his companion's outfit for a moment and smiled as he nodded his head in approval.]

It's cool, red is a good color on ya bud, and I'm glad they fit!

[Bart slowed to a walk as he entered the town square and chuckled as he grabbed a seat at the restaurant's outdoor seating. It took a moment to flag the waitress down, but when she approached her face lit up in a smile when she recognized him. He offered a grin and spoke quickly as he tried not to butcher the language.]

[Thad just nods again to that. He stuffs his hands into his pocket as they walked. The blond speedster waited quietly as Bart had his exchange with the waitress, giving a slight roll of the eyes at the other speedster's attempts at not butchering the language.]

[Bart studied the menu for a moment and finally looked back up with a grin.]

Think two dozen muffaletta sandwiches will be enough, or should be go for three?

Two should be more than enough. Even with a typical speedster-bottomless-stomach, these sandwiches seem like they'll be enough.

[He nodded in agreement and placed the order with a smile. As they waited for the food, Bart considered the previous question and looked back at his companion.]

I know I have no memory of you or even myself, but you seemed to know a lot more then you were letting on...don't suppose you know me, or could possibly tell me where my powers come from?

You're not aware of where your powers come from but you say you know of the SpeedForce? [He arches a brow.] The SpeedForce is the source of your speed.

I was thirteen when there was this sudden bright flash of light and suddenly I had these powers but no memory of my the rest of my life...had a few names stuck in my head and instinctively knew what the Speed Force was, just never learned what that bright flash was or why I was chosen.

Heck my parents were so freaked out by me that I ended up running away and living on the streets for a few years. Still haven't gone back since then.

[Thad's eyes narrow at this.]

Your parents? Are you sure they were your parents? Your connection to the SpeedForce is in your genetics.

Yep, they were my natural parents and they were normal. When I lost my memory they and the doctors had me looking through all the old home movies and photo albums to try and jog things, but nothing ever sparked.

That is...very unusual. [And nothing like the Bart he knows.] What do you know of your grandfather?

Dude was an accountant or something...No one in my family line had anything like this, made sure to search for such things when I was hunting for answers.

He could have just been keeping his speed a secret. [He thinks for a moment.] What do the names Wally West or Jay Garrick mean to you?

Right after the big flash explosion thing went off the names of Garrick, Wally West, and Barry Allen just appeared in my head and have been there ever since. Finally managed to find Jay Garrick a few years after it all happened but he wasn't exactly helpful with the explaining part...but to be fair I was more concerned bout that Speed Demon that I kept seeing when I ran.

I see. And what can you tell me about this Speed Demon? [He's got an idea what that might be.]

Freak monster fed on my speed so I gave him more then he could handle. Ended up sacrificing myself and wiping his ugly mug off the face of the planet! Would have stayed dead if my mun didn't pull me back from being absorbed into the Speed Force.

Hm. [Thad nods slowly.] The universe you hail from is...very unusual.

You can say that again! Man, between meteor freaks, robots, aliens, and world ending wars you'd think there'd be some sort of normal round here...guess that's why I keep going, trying to make sure the innocent people have a shot at living a good life.

Meteor freaks? I assume that's some form of metahuman. [Thad shakes his head.] Normality is in the eye of the beholder.

Yep. Big meteor shower happened years back when Cla...uh, when Superman's planet blew up. Showered the place with chunks of rock that mutated some of the people and gave them powers.

If that wasn't weird enough, there are a few like me out there...people with abilities who were never exposed to the stuff.
