There is nothing more trite and insincere than impersonal inspirational messages. I don't understand how they could possibly inspire anyone. Those words were not meant for you. Are you a child? Do you also think characters on TV shows who face the screen and address the viewer really see you or hear— or even care about your input? Does a compliment from some faceless nobody who's never spoken to you once mean anything at all? How can that possibly make sense? All I can think about when I see them is how very different it would be to face-to-face with the person who wrote them.

"You are important." "You are loved." "You are amazing."

No, you don't say such things to a stranger. Because you do not know them. They might have no significance whatsoever, no friends or family, and are perfectly plain and ordinary.

In reality, the writer would simply overlook you like everyone else.

There is no one in this world who would embrace and accept everyone— with the exception of Otonashi-san, who is more noble and selflessly kind than anyone else, of course! ♥

... what is it? If I must continue to occupy this dreadfully simple mind of yours, I reserve the right to share my opinions.
