[The Heroic spirit shakes his head slightly, his expression almost exasperated due to this turn of events.]

Why 'so-called' you ask?

Well I regret to inform you, however, in your mad attempt to reach out to me you have now chosen to estrange myself from my lord and his fiance. Something which, as a result, creates an almost paradoxical existence for myself.

[Lancer pauses as his amber eyes narrow]

Because of this I seek to make it very clear right here and now. No matter how immediate my death may be looming upon the horizon I refuse to kill innocents for the mere sake of energy restoration and survival.

Normally I am adverse to lecturing but it seems to be the only way to get her to cooperate with me. Were it my lord I would cut him a little more slack truth be told.

He didn't like to think so. How could he be honest with other's if he were not honest with himself? And so long as other's depended on him, no matter how little Diarmuid though of himself, he would do his very best to come out on top]

I am fully aware of my inefficiencies if that is what you are implying, Stranger. If a knight is unaware of his weakness his sword would crack easily beneath the right kind of pressure.
