We've been away for awhile, I get it--things can be scary when they change but it's not like you don't have people supporting you there. I mean, I've got a lot of new faces to see as well, lots of people who wont know me, who I wont know so it's not like you're alone being nervous. Terrified might be a better word, yeah.

Things always change though, it's just how you handle it. At least that's what I've learned now. So it really doesn't matter where you're picking me up from, but that you're giving it all another chance.

Just please--please, I want to keep my memories. They're all I've got.

[Excuse him for a moment while he mentally goes through the emotional range of desperately happy, depressed, angry, and horrified, with a good dose of self-hatred for wanting his adopted son back at a torture facility.]

Timothy. You're- you're getting dragged back here?

[A quiet breath--ah, that's a familiar face. In all reality it was him who Timothy was most worried about, from either perspective: still being there, or not.] That seems to be the plan.

And I want to say unfortunately--but I'm not sure anywhere else would be better.

You're being sent back here? [Not sure she likes the sound of that]

[It's a small relief but he kind of hates himself for that. As much as he wants to see him again, it's hard, knowing he'll be back here with a broken, unpredictable, sadistic AI.] Lots of places better than here. Doesn't seem fair that you're getting pulled back in just when things are starting to get worse.

[A little taken aback;] Ah--yeah.

At least that what seems to be in the works.

[bridalgownwings]

[If he returns, he'll learn about it all quickly he's certain. Still, he remains held back in his tone.] Nah.

I mean, sure they may be better in some aspects but this place? It's more like home than anywhere else could be.

[anotheroldsoldier]

[Yep, that'll be some crash course. "Yeah the AI is broken now and we're all fucked."]

For what it's worth, I've missed havin' you around, kiddo.

[bridalgownwings]

[That'll be a nice wake up call--could have been a good dream in some aspects turned dark. Still, there is a small laugh.] It's worth a lot.

I've missed having someone like you around. It's not been the same.

[anotheroldsoldier]

[His expression finally breaks into a little smile.] Hasn't been the same here either. [And with that, he's moving in for a tight hug, because god damn, losing his son was so damned hard.] I'm gonna shoot someone if you get here and don't remember me.

[bridalgownwings]

[Well--if anything does it for him, it's the hug because while he would normally be hesitant to return the act of affection he quickly wraps his arms around the other and buries his face against a broad shoulder.] I can't imagine going there without knowing you.

I'd be terrifying to not know that I once had someone like you in my life, to think that all that time would just mean nothing.

[artemisaim]

That's-well, it's not good. It still sucks here. That'll never change. But...it'll be good to see you again. You've been gone a long time.

[bridalgownwings]

I didn't think it would have changed. [He exhales.]

Yeah, it's felt like forever and I'm sorry--I'm sorry that I left you.

[artemisaim]

At least it hasn't gotten worse right? Although Val's acting kinda crazy...

It's okay. It's not your fault. Sometimes people just need a break. I'm glad you got one too. I've missed you, though. But I'm not looking forward to having to tell you about some of the things that've happened since you've been gone.

[anotheroldsoldier]

[God he's missed this. Timothy was always more his child than anyone, and so he hugs him tightly and doesn't let go, at least for the moment.] Good. I don't think anyone would be too happy if you came back without your memories. Lot of people missed you.

[bridalgownwings]

I'm sure she'll find ways to remind everyone that she can. [He offers a small smile.]

I know--but despite everything, no matter what's happening I've missed you. I mean, you're my friend, my best friend at that place. If anything at least I get to see you again, or at least I hope I get to.

[bridalgownwings]

[Things don't get awkward--with the length of the hug, he doesn't plan on letting go until the other does because it's been that long for him. It's been too long. There are so many people that he's missed but Bucky--

He's different, he's the closest person he's had to a dad and he likes it that way.] And I missed them.

I'm sorry that I left, that I had to--I never want to cause anyone that kind of sadness.

[There's no reason for him to let go, not when no one else is around. It's been too long, he's missed him too much, never thought he'd see him again.]

Nothin' to apologize for, it wasn't your fault. Better not do that to me again though, alright?

[bridalgownwings]

[The feelings are mutual and the idea of floating around in the space of a mind, knowing that so many people he cared for still remained in that hell had lately become unbearable. So no, he stays leaning against the other.] You got it.

I couldn't. Not after seeing you one more time, not after knowing I was already gone and what it caused for you.

You're... coming back?

Of course.

[Aw, Timo] Yeah, that's something at least. And hey, if everything goes right we'll have the whole team there. You'll be able to actually meet all of them.

I-- [A small laugh.]

Yeah, that's apparently the plan. Not sure if it will fall through but its in the process.

[bridalgownwings]

I've always wanted to meet them--ever since you started telling me about them. [A sigh.]

Though I'm sorry they're all there--it must be rough.

Well... I guess a lot has changed, but a lot has stayed the same. It's kinda weird.

I've been hearing things, bad things and good things--but I don't know, it's better than just floating around which is what I have been doing.

[Hesitance;] You been doing okay? I know it's a stupid question. . .but yeah.

Well, yeah, we had some fighting goin' on, and a lotta people have... y'know, left, but there are some cool new people, too.

[He shrugs.]

Oh, I've been okay. Got shot a couple of times in the fighting, but except the limp, it's all right.
