Gotta Get Down On Frigg's Day
Mortal child, you are young and know nothing of the grief your middle world has brought me.
You do not know the joy of one day having a son in each arm, and the bitter sweetness of watching them grow until you can no longer hold them close. In its own way, Midgard took them both from me. One son's heart is with that world now, and the other lost more than that.
I bear no ill will to your world, child, or its people, but I will never step foot there.

He will return. The mortals have a short life span, after all. Even if takes fifty or more years, he will return. Do not think him lost forever.

[ I feel bad for you, Allfather. But she's got ninety nine problems, and you're at least half of them. ]

IS IT REALLY JUST ME AND THAT DEFORMED HORSE
I'M JUST GOING TO SLEEP IN THE STABLES WITH MY PRUNE JUICE AND CROSSWORD PUZZLES AND CRY INTO MY DIPPIN DOTS MEDAMNIT]
My wife, mother of my sons...what renders Midgard so terrible to you? Thor and Loki both have fought in other Realms and yet never have I heard you such things. Were we not young and adventurous once, wanting to seek partners in places we had only watched from afar, to see the lands of ice and snow or the scorching deserts? Were we not once fresh and new, and everything tempting to be touched, tasted, and enjoyed?
[Adventurous =/= murderous okay, he's talking about Thor punching around a tin man and stuff. They're going to die, Frigga, he'll come back.]

Mu husband, my king, and father of my children. I hate no Realm, or find slight in its existence. But no adventure, no tale by the hearth has ever cost me so. I wish nothing but every joy and happiness all the realms could offer my children, but my heart is broken for it.

Do you not think my heart broken as well? [Come on, honey, he pretty much had a heart attack/coma-inducing fall on the stairs. Falling at his age is a big deal, okay, he might need some new hips or something. TRY TO BE SUPPORTIVE!!!!!] You are right to grieve, but it will not last forever. Simple patience, that is all that's needed.
Let's try this again.

I may not have held you in my womb, but I have never stopped holding you to my heart, Loki. If find slight in that, then tell me true.

Imagined? No. But your time would have been better spent on the true sons of Asgard and not the monstrous trophies for which the Allfather bade you care.
For that, you've my most sincere apologies.
