I wouldn't say I'm particularly chilled out within myself; it's more that I'm alright with most of it. Sometimes shit is inevitable, and I can use it to my advantage. Probably.

She's using Jake. Which to be fair, Roxy isn't behaving too well on the matter herself. It seems like girls being catty with each other and he got caught in the middle.

I have no doubt that you'll do it. If we were in a beauty pageant, exploitation and pulling shit out of our rumps would be on our special talent list.

Mediate that shit. One day Jake will be the hard boiled skeptic we know he can be, but until then you gotta take the rose colored glasses from his face and gently nudge him in the right direction. I'm guessing Roxy went in guns blazing with all the subtly and tact of a bull in a fine china shop?

That's exactly what I'm doing at this present moment. I'm starting with a discussion with Jake on a specific matter. All that aside, things are mostly quiet. No plagues, or people losing their shit. But there's a visitor event coming up where Jack Noir might show his mug. I won't be concerned about it unless it happens to be a specific barking teleporting stabber.

There are pros and cons to the situation, as more of our side might filter in for the week.

At least you've got your priorities sorted for the moment. Do you have a back-up plan just in case he does show his mug?

Unfortunately, that's still a work in-progress. My last resort skipped town. Seeing as that would be literally asking the devil himself for a bit of help. I'm almost ok with that.

The city has a variety of folk banding together for survival. You have your angels, death gods, sburb/sgrub players, priestesses, exorcists, demon hunters - the list goes on.

Getting back to the point, I mean literally asking Lucifer to weigh in. I assessed the risks. I'm more than aware being on speaking terms with him is a bad idea, and the fact he has investments in our group is bad enough. Hence I set the option as last resort.

Usually I'm left with a lack luster feeling when I hear about games, but hooking Lucifer in is impressive. What kind of investments are talking about here?

Honestly, I feel lack luster about being stuck in in a game. While I can't deny having the others around is everything I could ever ask for, the rest leaves a lot to be desired. Out here I can look back at see how naive I was, even admit to it. Back there it's a whole other story.

I can't claim credit for Lucifer's investments, I've only had a few riveting discussions with him on morality and humanity. It's Jade he has in his sights. She happened to do him a favor and he gave her a hellhound.

It's frustrating, I have to admit, to have clarity and retrospection here only to go back and keep making the same mistakes because all that retrospection is rendered fucking null and void. The thing is though, we all make mistakes. Even us. Sometimes.

Keep her safe. I'm sure she can take care of herself, but fucking hell. The Devil.
