[Instead of engaging, he dashed backward, dancing lightly along the ground for a man of his size. He stays just out of range, goading her into continuing the chase.]
Come on, where's that Crocker aggression? Jade has more than her fair share.
[ Well, if it's the aggression he wants, he's certainly going to get it if he keeps backing out of a fight he wanted. She comes at him a little harder, following punches with elbows or kicks. ]
[He studies her approach, parrying most of her blows. The ones he can't deflect, he makes sure to keep his head well away from, using his chest and arms to take the impact.]
Still leading with your emotions, I see. Tell me, do you still jump in when you're angry, without thinking about the consequences?
[ She pulls back, though, enough to breathe for a moment and re-evaluate her approach, but not so long as to give him any kind of opening before she's at him again. ]
[He starts throw in a few light moves of his own, just enough to try and break any rhythm he sees starting. A sweep here, a snap-kick there, an open-handed jab.]
[ There he goes, finally. She works around his moves, keeping them from landing and still pushing forward, but now she's definitely not getting anywhere, just more angry every time he opens his yap. ]
Still so temperamental, just like your sister and your mother. Can't control your emotions at all. It's like you haven't improved one bit, since I left home.
[He's more than a little impressed with her. She's definitely improved in his time away, but there's no need to tell her that. Just like when he was raising them. Praise only facilitates complacency. Always push them harder.]
[Just missed, baby girl. He is smiling at the attempt, though. Aaaaalmost. He dives to the side, then pops back up and comes at her with a round-house kick.]
You may not have always seen me, but that didn't mean I wasn't there.
[ She moves back just enough that she's out of range of his kick, but it means that she has to get back toward him again. Following up with a quick shin-kick, she jumps back up to seek out another opening. ]
Maybe that's what you consider being around. It's different to your half-abandoned kids.
What was I supposed to do? Your mother wouldn't let me back into your lives. I always sent money for you to live on, and she always rejected it. Every attempt I made, she blocked.

That's none of your business.

[ Augh does he ever shut up??? Ducking under his arm again, she sees an opening and takes it, fist aimed for his jaw. Maybe, just maybe... ]
