(Being the Solar Boy, Django can easily tell that there's more to this white wolf than it seems. He has no idea why she feels as radiant as the sun, but he's going to find out! He might be giving off his own aura as well, something that says Django has special connections to the sun. Perhaps Ammy might notice it?)

[Oh yes, Mother notices everything. The sun gives life, but its fierceness can also take it away. As solar-related as he appears to be, she must be careful.

I do. As a solar child, the sun grants me power, power I can use for enchanting weapons and charging my solar gun. Thanks to the great gift of the sun, I am able to continue hunting vampires and battling the forces of darkness.

(Whoops, he didn't take that into account. His world doesn't have much in oriental style; his is more a wild west setting.

Guns are weapons that mostly used for mid-to-long range combat. While normal guns require bullets to fire, my solar gun requires sunlight, which it condenses into bullets it can shoot.

[She leans her head back as the weapon makes its appearance, her fur standing on end. If the scrolls of the traveler and sixth Celestial Envoy were correct, this would be something that came from the Moon Tribe, or from Yami.

Yami being the ultimate evil.

So it is without hesitation that moves back a bit, alert should this "gun" try to do anything to attack her or anyone else. She doesn't trust it, that much is easy to see.]

(While Django does also have lunar child blood in him, his solar blood is much more prominent. His gun was forged by the Solar Tribe, but he can see that it bothers her, so he puts it away.)

I'm sorry if it bothers you. It might not look fancy, but it's something I trust wholeheartedly. I'll admit that it's a dangerous weapon, but I would never use on innocent people...or wolves. I only use it to battle the undead.

[Irony, then, that there's a Moon Tribe and not a Solar Tribe where Amaterasu is from.

Her fur is still lifted, her eyes drawn back tightly, but she pads over slowly, sniffing the air as if she could detect whether this gun was for good or for evil.

The gun itself has no life of its own; it's simply a device Django uses, but since he's had it for so long, it likely has his scent: a fresh summer day and apples. The boy loves apples.

At the moment, Django is...trying to compute this. A god...of the sun...

Oh gosh, don't do that, little sun boy. Amaterasu makes a whining sound as she immediately jumps to push her snout against his face, finally opening her jaws carefully to grab his collar. Don't do that! That's too far!

But with his connection to the sun, if he's listening, he may hear her maternal voice...if he listens.

(Django can hear the voice, that gentle voice calling out to him. It's so very soothing to him...

The voice combined her being so close and grabbing his collar helps him settle down. He's still surprised about this, but he nods in understanding as he reverts to sitting cross legged in front of Ammy. After a deep breath, he officially calms himself. He's a touch speechless at the moment, but calm.)

She moves to sit in front of him.

Or not. She's just going to lie down and rest her head against his knee, panting for a moment as dark eyes move about the area. A god in the guise of the wolf who acts like the sweetest little dog a boy could have. Nothing to be alarmed about!

(The guise is nothing to worry about; an adorable and fluffy wolfy is something he wouldn't worry about.

It's the fact that there's a sun goddess in that disguise that alarms him! But he remains calm and composed, hesitantly petting her head if she'll allow.)

I'm sorry for that. The sun means very much to me and I've never met with a goddess before, but I guess I overreacted.

[PET HER. ALL THE PETTINGS. GIVE HER THEM. She loves them!

If your weapon draws power from the sun, I assumed it meant a lot to you. I have not heard of a solar child, however. Would you mind speaking about it?]

It does. It was once my father's, but I inherited it after he fell to his rival...

The Solar Children was a tribe who had a very close alignment with the sun, so much that they could benefit from it more than regular humans could. If channeled, solar children could use that power for magic. They also developed technology that benefited from the sun as they did, like my gun, for example. They never took it for granted and appreciated each day the sun graced them with its presence; it was their way of life.

...but where there is light, there is also darkness; The Immortals detested sunlight because it was the one thing that could truly destroy them. I can't remember all of the details, but one day, they led an attacked on the Solar Tribe...the only survivors were myself, my father and my brother, Sabata.

My father, Ringo, was a legendary vampire hunter. He taught me everything he knew in preparation for the one day I would take his place...a day that arrived much sooner than it should have. The immortals kidnapped my brother and he ventured into the city of the dead, Istrakan, to save him. He left me his gun and his scarf...but he never returned...
