It has been quite a while, hasn't it? I'm rather surprised I'm back at all. Here I thought you were all done. You did delete my 'journal', as you like to call it. I'm sure you're regretting that now.

Well, here I am. Shall I raise my True Blood in celebration now, or side-eye you in apprehension? Time will tell.

If you can set aside that lanky 'Doctor' person for a few moments, perhaps a rewatch of the season is in order. If you intend to do my voice any credit at all, that is.

[Pause.]

On second thought, skip the season. It was rubbish anyways. Just watch my bits. That's all that was important, really.

Well. Let's go down the list. I for one have finally reached the phase where I'm no longer sulking over being imprisoned, and have some pretty interesting things going. I just fostered a young vampire, in fact.

The Barge has been sabotaged, taken over, overcome by ninjas, and turned into a pirate island. There are far too many hunters and other "defenders of humanity" around, but surprise, a few of those I thought were enemies are actually reasonable.

Also I can finally manage a few sips of beer.

So it's the same as when I left it. Minus a few people here and there, then? How very dull. I was hoping it'd at least have changed a little.

Now, that bit of news is very good. We should celebrate sometime.

[A soft sigh] Eighteen years old, taken against his will, only a vampire a few months, and his sire just disappeared. What could I do? Besides, I need to be the fatherly type to at least some degree if I'm really going to sire someone properly.

It hasn't changed but has changed constantly. Meanwhile my perspectives have changed, so it is a lot more fun. I'm going to stay, you know.

I'd absolutely love to. I cannot become drunk on such things, but still...beer.
