The number of secrets is truly getting ridiculous.

And yes, I know that I'm not entirely innocent of contributing to that problem, but it's a lot more endemic than I really wish it were. And of course the things you're freaking out about the most are the ones I don't have any clue about. And all of them are important, if in strikingly different ways.

That said... just because things are getting harrowing doesn't mean it always will be, and it doesn't mean that there can't be slightly less harrowing moments in there.

Even if there probably won't be all that many for a while.

No, but sometimes the lack of it hinders what we did get into the business for.

That's a choice.

Of course it is. Everything's a choice, when you get down to the core of it.

[She's thinking that the power to choose can be taken away, like with Ward; or for that matter, Barton. And then there are people like Lady Sif, and herself, and Coulson (perhaps formerly), who relinquish their choices.]

I am. Regardless of what issues I might have personally, we still accomplish too much good for me to want to give it up.
