Really? You're really thinking of sending me somewhere where my being a vampire won't even matter? That's pretty much one of the best things that's ever happened to me! And I am never going to like being human again. Especially not human with a collar.

Besides, you're not even sure you'll have time for me there. I think this is all just a bad idea. Thank God you won't have time to think about applying until April. Maybe you'll have figured out that you don't have my voice down by then.

Seems to me you're quite defensive for a--what would you call yourself? A warrior maiden? Ferocious? Or audacious; you've look like you could be called audacious.

Can't say I'd be altogether thrilled with the idea, but it isn't really my problem, is it? And I'd like to think that if I went back to being a boring old human, I wouldn't be completely dead in the water. We've all got our skills. If I were you, I'd focus on that; look on the bright side, and all. Sitting here moping isn't going to do you any good.

Ugh, skills. I feel like I'm in school all over again. How old are you, anyway? Did you have guidance counselors? Because job counseling? Sucks. And hostessing wasn't exactly my dream job.

Believe me, I had plenty of people telling me what to do. [And plenty of people who'd decided that his own talents weren't worth two shits. God forbid you weren't into living in the library or beating your brains out over academic studies.] Trick is, you've got to teach yourself to ignore 'em. Do your own thing, don't get stuck on what you're told you can and can't do. You think you can manage that?

[He'd walked into this conversation because he was bored--his own life hasn't exactly been eventful of late--but he's starting to become genuinely interested. He likes listening to others talk; observation is both a talent and a, well, a passion of sorts. Better to be here than drifting.]
