Or try to weasel me into a French class because I know you think it's funny, but I think we both know I've technically been around longer and never took it before. I assume you speak of me when you mention a man sharing your appearance. Although, if there are others, that would be a concern for both of us. Either way, if we share more than a common face, perhaps we should become acquainted.

I suppose that's an apt description. There is more to me, yes, but as I barely know of you I should not expect more than that. You are Gabe and I know that we are both dead. Do not hesitate to correct me on that, though.

Yeah, I was a baby, so didn't really have that whole in-vain thing going for me. But, you. I mean. You don't think it was pointless, on its own?

No life is pointless. Death can seem so, but in the larger scheme of things I hope it is not. In your case, I cannot possibly know. But I measured my life in how I could serve my country, and died knowing I had done that.

You...kinda just straight up died, actually. Like, I'm sure you're a great footnote in the history classes everyone pretends I took, but. The way I hear it, the whole rebellion thing...diiidn't go over so great.

I am aware we did not succeed as we had hoped, but France did change in time. Even so, you were not there and you did not experience what I did. I was able to die knowing my beliefs would not die with me and that the change we wanted was not impossible.

I am completely serious in all that I do. My cause was worth more than my own life and I believed that. I still do and I do not regret my decisions. To say such things is to say one should not care for one's life or the very essence of their being.

While I have died, my beliefs have lived on in others. I can name one at the very least, but I am sure the people of France have changed as well.
